Individual Exchange

 

One of our jobs in IVSA is the organization of individual exchanges in different parts of the world where IVSA is present. In these exchanges, a student can take part in different field/practical work for a period of time that can go up to 6 weeks with a foreign veterinary professional. The fields students can apply to are: small animals, farm animals and wild animals.

 

These individual exchanges are offered to students from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona from any year who are interested in living and experiencing the veterinary profession abroad.

 

The realization of these stays can translate to field work (requirement in this faculty) and are a great chance to learn and broad knowledge. Further more, these exchanges can be done on holidays.

How to apply and how does it work?

 

As this activity is offered to all veterinary students from our faculty who are associated to IVSA, we recomend sending the application form on a six months notice.

 

To apply you have to:

 

• Application Form,  which you can find on this same page.

• Cover Letter (more or less 300 words).

• Your Curriculum Vitae.

 

Once you complete this information, send everything to our special email adress: eobarcelona@gmail.com

 

We have two Exchange officers in our chapter, whose responsability is to read and send your application to the IVSA chapter of the country you want to go to. In a few weeks, we'll know if your request was granted or was denied, depending on their availability.

 

The transaction has a total cost of 25 euros, wich have to be paid once your application has been accepted.

 

 

The student has to pay for transportation, hosting and dietary expences abroad, but thanks to the communications between the two IVSA Chapters, a budget can be arranged depending on the student's income and monetary availability. Special arrangements can be made for students with specially low incomes.
